DEAR FLIPTASTIC! FAMILIES:
Thank you to all of our Flip Families for your continued support during our reopening. Fliptastic! is continuing to be committed to the safety of our athletes, coaches and their families by putting their wellbeing first and foremost. Due to our current COVID cleaning and safety protocols, the gym has remained a safe place for our students and coaches to participate in necessary physical and social activity.
With the daily increases in COVID cases, the City and County Stay at Home Advisory and the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday when families are going to have an increased exposure, Fliptastic! has made the tough decision to POSTPONE the start of the winter Session for all recreational classes until Sunday, December 27.
OUR NEW WINTER SESSION DATES: Sunday, December 27 through Friday, March 19
*Staff will follow illness policy including temperature checks at the beginning of each shift and 24 hour wellness standards.
*The gym will supply and be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of masks worn by our coaches. Staff will adhere to PPE requirements set by the Ohio Department of Health.
PRIOR TO CLASS:
*While in the viewing area, masks are required at this time.
*In order to adhere to physical distancing requirements, the viewing area will be limited. Therefore, only one parent or guardian will be allowed to enter the building with their child. Siblings not participating in class will not be allowed in the viewing area. We are encouraging drop off and pick up of students that are ages 6 years and older.
*We installed webcam viewing which will allow parents or guardians to view class on their phones or tablets from their car, home or other location. Detailed information is available at the gym.
*We will be staggering class start and end times to allow students to get in and out of the building safely, as well as allow staff to wipe down necessary equipment and wash their hands between each class.
*Gymnasts are not required to wear masks, but may do so.
*Parent/child classes have been reduced to 5 students per class to help maintain physical distancing in the Tumble Jungle. Intermediate classes will be limited to 8 per class. All other preschool and recreational classes will maintain their 6 per class ratio. Tumbling classes will maintain a 7 to 1 student to instructor ratio.
*Lesson plans have been modified to limit spotting and physical contact with the coach and gymnasts. We have omitted partner activities and will limit the use of props.
*Stations and activities will be modified to allow for safe distancing; there will be no waiting in line in preschool, vault and trampoline. Beam lesson plans will be modified to allow gymnasts appropriate distance while on that event.
*Stations will be wiped down between groups.
*Drinking fountains will remain closed. Gymnasts are encouraged to bring their own water bottle with their name clearly on it.
